NEW STUDEBAKER NATIONAL MUSEUM TAKING SHAPE!

Here are a few pictures from 12/9 showing the construction progress of the new Studebaker National Museum (SNM). It is expected that the building will be "under roof" by New Year's with final completion still set for fall, 2005.

For those unfamiliar with the new SNM project, it will be more than 50,00 square feet, most of which will be used for exhibits and educational displays. The state-of-the-art building is located adjacent to the Center for History, on the corner of Chapin and Thomas Streets in South Bend, Indiana. The new building will reflect the design traditions of Studebaker buildings from the '20s and '30s.

For more information on the SNM, more construction photos, and to learn how you can support the SNM and its great work, visit their website at www.studebakermuseum.org and click on the "Building Update" link.
