Studebakers
to be featured at the Radnor Hunt Concours d'Elegance
September 12 will be the 14th annual Radnor Hunt Concours d'Elegance at
the Radnor Hunt Club, Malvern, PA. (outside Philadelphia).
Studebaker will be the primary classic marque with the most prominent
presentation in the Program and on the show field.
The other features will be 80 years of Pininfarina designs, Triumph motorcycles,
and "cars with tailgates". There will be 100 of the best cars
on the judged show field along with a special field at the main gate for
all other cars of interest.
An area will be allocated for Studebakers that might not be appropriate
for judging, but should absolutely be present for all to enjoy. Radnor
is an invitational show, so those who might have exceptional cars should
submit a nomination form to our Selection Committee. That form will be
posted on the Website, www.radnorconcours.org.
The Radnor Hunt Club is the country's oldest fox hunting club, a beautiful
venue on which to present the cars in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania's
horse country. The connection between horses and classic cars has always
been a core theme at the Radnor Hunt show. There will be a carriage drive
that parades onto the show field, and a running of the hounds at the lunch
break.
Studebaker carriages are expected at the show this year to help tell the
story of the development of the marque.
